Calderdale Council: Climate Action Plan Consultation

Calderdale’s Climate Action Plan

Throughout 2022, we have been preparing Calderdale’s Climate Action Plan. We now have a consultation plan we’re proud of and we are looking for comments from key organisations and people across Calderdale.  The plan is divided into six key themes and we have spent a lot of time making sure the plan is accessible and is clear on the positives – both big and small –  of tackling Climate Change.

The plan, developed by the Climate Action Partnership, sets out the action we will take in the next three years. We’ve selected actions that we think will have a ripple effect across the borough and beyond. There’s a lot of work we must do together, and we see you as playing a key part in Climate Action going forward.

Why we are contacting you

We’re contacting you because you are part of our network, and we would value your input on the plan. Your input will influence the final action plan.

The action plan will direct the work of the climate action partnership over the next three years, including where we focus funding bids and projects and how we lobby and influence national government.

You can two options to give us your feedback:

  1. Online individual Survey
  2. Group Survey

We know that some groups and organisations would like to take the time to dive into the plan as a group and would get a lot out of looking at the plan and discussing it with colleagues. We have prepared a group survey for this purpose.

We really value your time and input, so we’ve tried to make this process as easy as possible for you. We think it could work best if you follow these steps:

  1. Arrange a 1hr meeting before the consultation end of 20th November.
  2. Work through the questions in the questionnaire here in your meeting.
  3. Send the completed word document to us.

We want to get as many people reading and commenting on our climate action plan as possible – please spread the word via your networks. It would be great if you could include a link to the consultation in any newsletters you send out.
