Each group is legally and financially independent, but affiliated to Read Easy UK, a registered national charity, and is run by a local volunteer Management Team.
We are seeking enthusiastic people who want to make a difference in our communities, while working alongside an interesting group of like-minded people. Finding the right people to form the Management Team is vital to the success of our group as team members need to be actively involved in the running of the group. We have a range of roles available – there’s sure to be something of interest to you! Volunteers need no formal qualifications or skills and will be given lots of support, training and access to relevant resources.
Roles include: Team Leader Administrator Treasurer

Please feel free to email for a short role descriptions should you wish to know more.
Once formed, the Management Team will set up, and then run the Read Easy Kirklees and Calderdale branch, ensuring that the group provides the best possible experience for those who would like to improve their reading.

What Could Someone Gain From This Role?

Being on our Management Team will give you the opportunity to share or develop your skills and experiences with others, whilst also providing much needed support to those wishing to develop their reading skills. Many adults who are not able to read effectively, struggle with everyday activities such as completing forms, accessing information, support and safety advice, shopping and supporting their children with reading and school work.
