More Details About This Role

The initial induction session will include physical work, so please come prepared. You will be trained and supervised by Canal River Trust staff and Lead volunteers.

Wear suitable clothing and footwear for being outdoors in all weathers. Safety gear and training will be provided.

Requirements and Benefits

Reasonable level of fitness and willingness to join in and follow safety instructions.

Sowerby Bridge volunteers meet on Wednesday mornings - inductions are on the first Wednesday of the month - see website.
Salterhebble volunteers meet on Tuesdays and Thursday mornings, induction sessions are on Tuesdays

Directions

Sowerby Bridge - meet at the Moorings Pub, 1 Canal Basin, Sowerby Bridge - 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month- 9.30-12.30pm

Salterhebble - meet at the stable block, Salterhebble Basin (Huddersfield buses stop just after the MacDonalds, walk under the bridge along the towpath. Every Tuesday and Thursday 9.30-12.30

Upper Valley - meeting point tbc 1st and 3rd Thursday mornings monthly
