Get involved in an exciting new community research project: ‘Our Calderdale: Living Under the Shadow of COVID’

via Parasol:

We want to find out about the experiences of Calderdale people during this pandemic. What are your hopes and fears? We are keen to include people whose voices are often unheard and who may be hard hit by COVID. We hope our findings will prompt local government, voluntary organisations and local people to work together to improve the resilience of our community in these hard times.

Walk-in vaccination clinics

In addition to pre-booked appointment sessions, there are various regular walk-in vaccination clinics throughout Calderdale where you do not need to book in advance.

The next two are available in Sowerby Bridge and Halifax, running Saturday 26th & 27th June. Followed by Wednesday 30th June in Todmorden.

These clinics are open to anyone

Local Connections Fund

Opening 28th June, grants of up to £2,500 will be available for small local voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations in England that are working to reduce loneliness and isolation by bringing people and communities together as the country recovers from the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic.

Calderdale Cares 4 Us Project and Survey

Calderdale Cares 4 Us is a new project funded by Public Health England for 6-12 months, focused on public sector and voluntary sector workers, who have been caring for and supporting people in Calderdale during the pandemic. It aims to offer a range of services/activities to improve mental health and wellbeing, accessed through an integrated platform which will continue beyond the life of the project and widen to cover the whole population of Calderdale.
